DP'S FACTION MEETS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Head of the Democratic Party's faction at the State Great Khural Ch.Saikhanbileg spoke about issues discussed at their faction's meeting held Monday. The faction stands "for" carrying on allowance for children, he said. “If this idea is not supported, our faction intends to take intervals and will do so until positive response,” he added.
The faction's meeting also discussed basic guidelines of Mongolia's socio-economy development until 2011, and decided to submit them together with a middle-term strategic plan of budget to parliament.
Matters were considered as well on draft amendment to the laws on management and financing of budgetary organizations and on mineral resources. In accordance with the laws, 20 per cent of payment for exploitation of mineral resources remains in the aimag, whereas 10 per cent--in the soum. On the other hand, these 30 per cent which ought to stay in the local budget are not able to exist in the local budget due to a clause of the law that says that a sum of the percentage must not exceed the local budget. This was a reason the MPs have initiated related draft laws to regulate such a perversion.
The faction discussed draft law on Mongolia's administrative and territorial units and its management and a draft amendment to the general laws on state registration, but did not considered necessary to make any changes.
