CZECH BANK FUNDS AZERBAIJAN RAILWAY RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
Baku, June 22 (AzerTAc). A framework loan agreement to fund Azerbaijan Railway reconstruction project was signed Monday by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Transport and Czech Export Bank (Çeşka Exportni Banka A.S).
The agreement was inked by Minister of Transport Ziya Mammadov while Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov and Chairman of Czech Export Bank`s Board of Directors Lubomir Pokorniy sealed a guarantee agreement.
The project worth 215 million euro will be realized within 3 years. A loan will be provided for the period of 8 years. The funds are intended to be channeled into the development of Azerbaijan railway system, major repair of 317-km section of the Baku-Beyuk Kesik railroad.
