Iran: All nations entitled to criticize IAEA inspectors performance

Tehran, June 22, IRNA – All nations, includign Iran, have the right to criticize mistakes of inspectors of the United Nations nuclear watchdog, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said Tuesday.
He made the remarks commenting on Tehran's recent move on banning two UN nuclear inspectors from entering the country as they had reported false information about Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.
“If inspectors were not careful enough to fulfill their duties and therefore made mistakes, then every country, including Iran, has the right to protest against their performance and call for new inspectors,” Mehman-Parast told reporters at his weekly press conference.
He stressed that Iran was among those countries which had maximum cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and was subject to the maximum number of visits by its inspectors.
“If inspectors present unrealistic report or share it with those who are not related to the issue, then we consider it as their failure in carrying out their duties,” said the spokesman./end
