Saada Governor discusses with UN Orgs cooperation areas
SAADA, June 21 (Saba) - Saada Governor Taha Hajar met here on Monday with representatives of the UN-WFP, UNHCR, and UNICEF in the province of Saada.
Talks in the meeting dealt with areas of cooperation and humanitarian aid provided
by the organizations for the displaced and affected people due to the insurgency
war in
the province and their needs during the coming period.
In the meeting, the two sides were briefed on the questionnaire being carried out
by UNICEF on health, education and nutrition aspects and to assess the needs among
the
displaced and affected people.
The governor noted the importance of assistance provided by the UN organizations to
reduce the displaced suffering and to meet their needs in the different areas,
praising
the humanitarian role of those organizations.
He affirmed the readiness of the province leadership to present all facilities for
the humanitarian organizations to enable them to carry out their missions easily.
The UN organizations' representatives commended the efforts of the province
leadership and its cooperation with the organizations, confirming their readiness
to continue
to offer support to the displaced people in the province.
