PACE ‘TO SEND’ 30-MAN MISSION TO OBSERVE AZERI PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS
Baku, June 21 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has said the organization will send a team of 30 observers to Azerbaijan to monitor the parliamentary elections.
Speaking to a press conference, Mevlut Cavusoglu said: “We`ve received an invitation from the Azeri government to send our monitors for the elections.”
“The decision to send the PACE delegation to Azerbaijan was adopted at the Bureau`s session on June 21.”
“In addition we plan to send a 5-man pre-election observation mission to Azerbaijan a month before the elections begin,” added the PACE chief.
