Moiseyev Dance Company visits memorial in North Korea.

PYONGYANG , June 21 (Itar-Tass) - The Moiseyev Dance Company which
arrived in North Korea on a concert tour has laid a wreath to a memorial
named Liberation. The memorial was built in Pyongyang in honor of Soviet
soldiers who sacrificed their lives, fighting for the liberation of the
Korean people.
The Company's Director, People's Artist Yelena Shcherbakova headed
the ceremony. In an interview to Itar- Tass Shcherbakova said the Moiseyev
Dance Company was dedicating its concerts in North Korea to the 65th
anniversary of victory in World War II. The program of the concerts
includes national dances of all the people who hand in hand fought against
fascism respective of their nationalities and different religious
confessions and suffered huge losses in World War II, Shcherbakova said.
The Russian ensemble will continue concerts in North Korea until July
6.
