UNSC resolution wants peace or interfere in Iran’s internal affairs?

Tehran, June 21, IRNA – The UN Security Council resolution 1929 should be regarded as intervention in Iran’s internal affairs for mandating Iran to pass the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, a task which falls within jurisdiction of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis).

One of the reasons, the UNSC resolution 1929 is illegal is that it meddles in Iran’s internal affairs.

Part of the resolution reads that Iran should sign the CTBT.

Since conclusion of the Treaty is a responsibility resting on Majlis, the UNSC's demand is illegal and is beyond authorities of the Council.

The part which is included in the text of the resolution reveals more than the past the spying nature of CTBT and political motivation of the resolution.

It also shows that Americans’ insistence on further inspection is aimed at receiving more classified military information on Iran.

The CTBT aims to gain key and sensitive information on internal conditions of many countries.

The CTBT inspectors will have more authorities and enjoy more immunity than diplomats.

The Treaty will be enforced when signed by 44 more countries./end
