Yemen discusses review of gas price with Korean side, oil minister
SANA'A. June 20 (Saba)- Minister of Oil and Minerals Amir =
al-Adarows confirmed on Sunday that
the Yemeni government discussed a matter of reviewing price of gas with =
the south Korean side to have fair price which meets with the gas =
international price.
In a statement to media outlets, the minister said that the agreement =
doesn't mean that any side could not review it, if it hurts him.
It is common in the world level, the minister said, many countries did =
same action and reviewed such long term agreement as they harmed them.
He expected that the Korean side would understand the matter and put in =
the consideration the common interests of all parts The minister said =
that the presidential directives
is not only to improve the state revenues from selling gas, but also to =
benefit from the project well to get best revenues for the nation.
Recently, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, along with oil minister =
informed the Korean ambassador to Sana'a about decision of the Yemeni =
cabinet to reconsider sell price
of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) of Yemen to cope with the =
international market price, remove any prejudice against rights of Yemen =
and maintain interests of all stakeholders
in the Yemeni LNG export.
