Yemen, Cuba inspect needs of Shabwa hospitals
SHABWA, June 20 (Saba) - Yemen and
Cuba inspected here on Sunday the needs of some hospitals in Shabwa province that
Cuba can
offer.
Shabwa undersecretary governor Naser al-Sawadi and the Cuban Ambassador to Yemen
Buenaventura Reyes Acosta got acquainted with the medical equipment, technical and
construction
components in four hospitals in the province.
Al-Sawadi and Acosta highlighted the hospitals' major needs of medical cadres in
the important medical specialties according to the cooperation protocol signed
between the
two countries.
They also inspected the implementation progress of the first and second phase of
the General Hospital project in the province at a cost of YR 852 financed by the
government.
The Cuban official said that the aim of the visit is to know the needs of medical
services of Shabwa hospitals.
He added that he would submit a report on the needs of Shabwa, Lahj, Taiz, Dhamar
and Ibb in the medical service sector.
He also talked about the deep-rooted of the Yemeni-Cuban cooperation and friendly
relations.
