WFP food aid distribution for Sa'ada IDPs inspected
SA'ADA, June 20 (Saba) - Sa'ada
governor Taha Hajar inspected here on Sunday the distribution procedures of the food
aid
provided by the UN World Food Programme (WFP) for Sa'ada Internally Displaced
Persons (IDPs).
The food aid, includes wheat, cooking oil, sugar, beans and dates, is monthly
distributed to 13,000 cases under the supervision of the Islamic Relief. It is
distributed
via cards having all information about the beneficiary.
Hajar was briefed on the adopted distribution mechanism and the difficulties
impeding the distribution process.
He pointed out the significance of the food aid to alleviate the affected people's
sufferings by providing them the food and relief assistance.
The governor hailed the efforts exerted by the WFP and Islamic Relief to support
the governments' efforts to assist the IDPs, affirming the keenness of the province
leaders
to facilitate their works.
