Execution, fate of all criminals: Head of Rigi tribe

Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan Prov, June 20, IRNA – Leader of Rigi tribe Bashir Ahmad Rigi said on Sunday that execution is the fate of all criminals.

Talking to IRNA, he expressed his satisfaction with the execution of Abdulmalek Rigi, the terrorist supported by the US. He added that Rigi was punished for his criminal acts.

He said Rigi’s arrest and execution indicated the Islamic Republic’s security and intelligence strength.

"We thank God that the Rigi tribe was cleaned off such a disgrace by Rigi’s execution," Bashir added.

According to reports, Rigi was hanged this morning in Tehran's Evin prison upon a ruling issued by the country's Islamic Revolution Court and in the presence of the families of the victims killed by his terrorist group.

He was charged with 79 counts of various crimes including armed robbery, bombing operations in public places, armed attacks on the army, police personnel, and ordinary civilians, assassinations, disrupting regional stability, kidnapping and murder.

Iran’s security forces arrested him on February 23 in eastern Iran while he was on a flight from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan./end
