Iran's Foreign Ministry denies words on Russia, China

Tehran, June 20, IRNA – An informed source in the Foreign Ministry denied statements attributed to ministry officials concerning Russia and China votes on the anti-Iran resolution in the UN Security Council.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Saturday evening, the informed source rejected the statement by a parliamentarian which was attributed to foreign ministrt officials.

The parliament member had said that foreign ministry officials believed that the votes of Russia and China to the Resolution 1929 of the Security Council was 'a well-intended move'.

The source said that Foreign Ministry's view on the issue was presented by the Ministry spokesman last week in a press conference.

In our view, all countries, which voted against Iran in the illegal resolution of the Security Council, are the same and the Foreign Ministry has expressed its protest and will consider such actions in its bilateral ties, he added./end
