United Nations praises mission of World Conference on Dialogue

Geneva, July 18 (SPA) - The United Nations has valued the initiative
of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz
Al Saud to call for the World Conference on Dialogue, patronize it in
Madrid and described it as a precious initiative and mission.

Marie Okabe, Deputy Spokesman for the U.N. Secretary General said in
a statement today that the United Nations Secretary-General Ban
Ki-moon has praised in a letter sent to the Conference the initiative
of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz
who through his wisdom, provided the circumstances which made the
conference successful.

"When many disputes seemed to have been caused by religions, but, in
reality, these are caused by reasons outside the religious beliefs,
" Ban Ki-moon said.
