Yemeni students to travel to Germany

SANA'A, June 17 (Saba) - German Ambassador Michael Klor-Berchtold has received Yemeni students, who will travel to Germany in
July.

According to a press release issued by the German embassy in Sana'a, the students
are from Rabaa al-Adawiyya School and Bilal School in Sana'a as well as from
al-Biehani
School in Aden. These schools are official members of the German PASCH-Initiative
"Partner Schools Initiative".
The initiative, which includes more than 1,000 schools worldwide, aims at
connecting students from all over the world.
The students learn German and will meet this summer in Berlin and Hannover cities
to exchange their experiences in addition to the German language and culture.
"Learning foreign languages is a chance to open doors to the future.
Education is the best way to improve one's life", Ambassador Klor-Berchtold told the
students.
The German diplomat also pointed out the importance of the participation of women
in the society, underlining that youth of Yemen could realize gender equality in
the future.
The students, who intend to serve as ambassadors for their country, will work on
perking up the image of Yemen in Germany via showing a movie about Yemen, besides
presenting
Yemen through a special "Yemen Corner" in Germany.
