MoU ON TURKEY-GREECE-ITALY GAS PIPELINE SIGNED
Ankara, June 17 (AzerTAc). Turkish BOTAS, Italian Edison and Greek DEPA companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Turkey-Greece-Italy gas pipeline.
The pipeline will transport Azerbaijani gas to Europe.
Turkish Minister of energy and natural resources Taner Yildiz, CEO of BOTAS Fazil Senel, Vice-president of Edison Roberto Poti and Executive director of Greek State Gas company Herry Sachinis attended the event.
Turkish Minister Taner Yildiz said at a press conference following the signing ceremony that Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum and Turkey-Greece-Italy pipelines are the important energy projects of the European Union.
He said the 804-km pipeline will start from Azerbaijan to Italy and deliver 10 bln cubic meters of natural gas to Greece and Italy.
