BISHKEK, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - The US Administration will continue its
humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan, the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
told Kyrgyzstan's interim president, Roza Otunbayeva, over a telephone
conversation, the press service of the interim government said on Thursday.
"The sides discussed the situation in the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions
where the clashes caused many victims," the press service said. "Clinton
presented her condolences to Kyrgyzstan's citizens and said that the US
would continue its humanitarian aid over this difficult time."
The clashes in Osh and Jalal-Abad, which started the night of June 11,
killed 191, and about 2,000 addressed for medical assistance. Different
sources say that 40-70 thousand refugees had to run away to neighbouring
Uzbekistan.
