Govt subcommission approves higher import duties on dairy products

MOSCOW, June 17 (Itar-Tass) - A subcommission of the Russian
government approved higher import duties on certain kinds of milk and
dairy products, with the view of supporting the domestic dairy producers,
the government press service reported on Wednesday.
The relevant proposal was brought forward for consideration by a
Customs Union commission, in order to adjust rates within the single
customs tariff.
First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov chaired the session of the
subcommision on customs/tariffs and non-tariff regulation and protective
measures in foreign trade. The subcommission operates under the government
commission on economic development and integration.
