Russia sends second plane with relief supplies to Kyrgyzstan.

MOSCOW, June 16 (Itar-Tass) - A second Ilyushin - 76 plane of the
Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has left for Kyrgyzstan from
Ramenskoye aerodrome near Moscow Wednesday to deliver relief supplies to
the Kyrgyz population. A third plane will leave for Bishkek on a similar
mission in an hour. Every plane has 42 tons of humanitarian cargoes on
board. Most of the relief supplies are blankets and foodstuffs.
Ethnic clashes between the Uzbek and Kyrgyz population flared up in
Osh - the second biggest city of Kyrgyzstan, overnight to June 11. The
authorities declared a state of emergency and imposed curfew in the
troubled area.
The latest reports said 179 people were killed and 1, 879 asked for
medical assistance after mass clashes in Osh and elsewhere in the
Jalal-Abad region.
Six Kyrgyz citizens, including a child, who had been seriously
injured in the clashes in Osh, were brought to Moscow for treatment
overnight to June 13 on board a plane belonging to the Russian Ministry
for Emergency Situations.
