CULTURE MINISTERS SIGN AGREEMENT TO CELEBRATE CHINESE YEAR IN TURKEY,

BEIJING (A.A) - 16.06.2010 - Turkish culture and tourism minister has signed an agreement with his Chinese counterpart to proclaim 2012 as "Chinese Year in Turkey", and 2013 as "the Turkish Year in China."
The Turkish minister, Ertugrul Gunay, on Wednesday met with his Chinese counterpart Cai Wu in capital Beijing as part of his talks in China.
The two minister sealed the agreement with a view to boost cultural relations, which Gunay described as "deeply rooted in history."
Cai said Turkey could attract more Chinese tourists by increasing the number of direct flights and launch effective promotion campaigns.   
The Turkish culture minister is scheduled to proceed to Xi'an later today and he is set to attend on June 20 EXPO 2010 event in Shanghai.
