Iran entitled to peaceful nuclear energy : Singapore official
Singapore, June 15, IRNA – Singapore's Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong said here that the Islamic Republic of Iran has the right to gain peaceful nuclear energy, it is reported on Tuesday.
The Singaporean official made the remarks in his meeting with visiting Iranian Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari.
On the recent anti-Iran resolution issued by the United Nations Security Council, Tong said the UNSC should be persuaded that Iran’s nuclear activities are “peaceful.”
About Singapore’s ties with Iran, Tong said the two countries are capable of fostering bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, industry and tourism.
Iran’s minister, for his part, said the Islamic Republic of Iran will not withdraw from its revolutionary and sacred stands and is not to bow down to the sanctions./end
