PRIME MINISTER GIVES INTERVIEW TO JAPAN MEDIA
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Premier of Mongolia S.Batbold gave interview to the Japanese TV and daily papers journalists June 14.
"Mongolia is satisfied with expanding of the comprehensive partnership with Japan," he said. "To elevate these ties and cooperation into a newer level, deepen the peoples' relationship, the tourism collaboration in particular, Mongolia's Government has freed the Japanese from the 30-day entry visa to Mongolia," he said and underlined that it gives the Japanese nice opportunities to learn more about Mongolia's people, nature, traditions, civilization.
The Premier said that an advancement of the mining sector is to play a special role in Mongolia's transition to the level of developing economy. "As regards the Tavantolgoi deposit, which is assumed to perform a great part in the mining sector development, Mongolia's Government is to own its 51 and more percent, and is ready to drill friendly to extraction, exploitation and environment high technologies, to make final products and with VAT, to increase job places, to have mutually beneficial relationship with both foreign and domestic companies and to be fruitful for the nation," he said.
In order to provide, strengthen and protect the peace and stability in the world, in the North-East Asia in particular, Mongolia wants to develop foreign ties and cooperation on the basis of its experience and opportunities available, the Premier said.
Mr. Batbold underlined that with the newly elected Japan's Premier Naoto Kan he will maintain traditions of the bilateral ties and cooperation, strengthen the achievements gained, and that will cooperate with him in realizing common goals of bringing the Mongolia-Japan comprehensive partnership into a higher level and strengthening the regional collaboration.
