UNEMPLOYMENT RATES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ According to the Labor Force Survey, a number of unemployed, in the first quarter of 2010 at national level was 135.1 thousand. Of them men were 76.3 thousand. Unemployment rate reached 12.2 per cent for surveyed period or in the first quarter of 2010.
A number of unemployed who had registered at Labor and Welfare Service Divisions in aimags and capital city and were actively looking for job reached 38,701 at the end of May, 2010, but decreased 95 people or 0.2 per cent against the previous year. Such decline against the same period of the previous year was mainly due to decrease in Omnogobi (177 people), Dornod (191 people), Ovorkhangai (240 people), Khentii (583 people), Bulgan (866 people) aimags and in Ulaanbaatar (1,405 people).
