INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT IN FIGURES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first 5 months of 2010, the total industrial output increased by 76.3 bln.tog or 12.2 percent to 700.1 bln.tog (at 2005 constant prices) compared to the same period of the previous year.
This increase occurred mainly due to the increase in main industrial products such as coal, crude oil, molybdenum concentrate with 47%, fluor spar concentrate, all types of meat, milk, dairy products, wheat flour, alcoholic beverage, wine, beer, soft drinks, juice, combed down, lime, metal sleeper, copper, metal foundries and steel casting etc.
Industrial output in this period showed rise in extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas (99.2%), mining of coal and lignite extraction of peat (73.6%) and other mining and quarrying (22.5%) for the mining and quarrying sector; also in manufacture of wearing apparel, dressing and dyeing of fur (61.3%), manufacture of food products and beverages (44.8%), manufacture of textiles (23.2%), publishing, printing and reproduction of recorded media (18.4%), manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (18.1%), manufacture of tobacco products (5.3%), manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (4.3%), production of other non-metallic mineral products (3.5%), manufacture of wood and wooden products (2.0%) for the manufacturing sector compared to the same period of last year.
An increase of 6.4 percent was also in electricity, thermal energy and steam.
