Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first 5 months of 2010, total 23.7 bln.tog of construction and installation work was carried out at national level. Of them 16.9 bln.tog or 71.3 percent were executed by domestic entities, 6.8 bln.tog or 28.7 percent--by foreign entities.
Export freight carried by railway increased 302.7 thous.tons or 27.6 percent, domestic freight increased by 374.1 thous.tons or 12.9 percent, and import freight increased by 139.4 thous.tons or 32.0 percent against the same period of previous year.
Transit freight decreased by 64.6 thous.t or 6.3 percent. Due to the increase in carried freight and passengers, revenue from railway transport increased by 22.6 bln.tog 26.8 percent to 106.8 bln.tog in the first 5 months of 2010 compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the first 5 months of 2010, 116.6 thous.passengers and 541.9 t.freight (duplicated) were carried by air transport. Compared to the same period of the previous year, carried passengers rose by 28.6 thous.persons or 32.6 percent, carried freight--by 122.5 t or 29.2 percent. Due to this, revenue from air transport increased by 2.6 bln.tog or 8.5 percent to 32.9 bln.tog in the first 5 months of 2010 against the same period of the previous year.
