Rally in Bishkek urges UN peacekeeping assistance.

BISHKEK, June 14 (Itar-Tass) -- A rally outside the UN House in the
Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek has urged UN peacekeeping assistance to stop
violence in the republic's southern regions, the 24.kg news agency said on
Monday.
Participants, members of Kyrgyz human rights organizations, in the
rally are holding banners asking for UN interference. They adopted an
appeal to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
A UN House staffer appeared before the gathering and promised that
their appeal would be soon considered.
