Situation in Kyrgyzstan's southern regions remains tense.

BISHKEK, June 14 (Itar-Tass) -- The situation in Kyrgyzstan's southern
regions gripped by massive disorders remains very tense. Shooting were
heard in the city of Jalal-Abad during the night, shops and offices were
looted and set on fire, the AKIpress news agency said on Monday.
According to the agency, the looters are gathering near the hippodrome
in Jalal-Abad.
Some 2,000 police officers and servicemen were sent to the country's
second largest city of Osh, where inter-ethnic clashes started overnight
to June 11, to protect law and order. The servicemen are patrolling the
city in groups of 20 to 30 armed with machineguns.
Local residents say there are many dead bodies over the streets of
Osh. Humanitarian aid raised by residents of the capital city of Bishkek
arrived in Osh early on Monday.
A total of 847 foreigners have been evacuated from the Osh and
Jalal-Abad region to safer places.
As of 06:00 a.m. local time, the death toll in the clashes was 114. A
total of 1,423 people south medical help, of whom 754 were hospitalised,
and 561 received out-patient treatment.
