YR 3 bln allocated to support fisheries sector infrastructure

SANA'A, July 17 (Saba)- The meeting which was held on Wednesday
in Sana'a headed by Minister of Fisheries Wealth Mohammed Saleh
Shamlan approved to allocate YR 3 billion from investment program of
the ministry for 2008-2009 to fund infrastructure projects in
coastal governorates.

The meeting discussed investment program of the remained period of
2008 as well as investment program of 2009 and insured means to
delivering projects and funds to fishermen in various coastal
governorates.

Deputy Fisheries Minister for Planning and Fisheries Projects
Abdul-Hadi al Khader said that these funds would be transferred to
the budgets of local councils of the governorates within their
investment program and will authorize governors to complete legal
and technical procedures to implement these projects in order to
complete infrastructure of those governorates.
