Riyadh denies British media reports on airspace deal with Israel

Tehran, June 13, IRNA – Saudi Arabia denied reports that it had agreed to allow the Zionist regime to use its airspace to raid Iran’s nuclear facilities, it was announced Sunday.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, the announcement was made by an official source at the Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry.
In a statement issued late Saturday, the unidentified source referred to the report by Britain’s 'Times' newspaper as “allegations based on slander and false accusation.”
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reiterates its position of firm opposition and rejection of the violation of its sovereignty and the use of its airspace or territory by anyone to attack any country,” said the Saudi source.
“It is more appropriate that Saudi Arabia should apply this policy to the authority of the Israeli occupation with which it has no relationship in any way,” the source was further quoted as saying.
The Times claimed Saturday that Saudi Arabia had agreed to allow Israel to use its airspace to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities. The newspaper had cited unidentified people./end
