Al-Arhabi calls for keeping on efforts to join Yemen to GCC

SANA'A, July 17 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul Karim al-Arhabi affirmed Wednesday the importance
of keeping on discussion between Yemen and the secretariat general
of Gulf Cooperation Council to speed up joining Yemen to the GCC.

During a meeting with the Director of Studies and Economic
Integration at the GCC Central Secretariat Abdulaziz al-Uwaishiqi,
al-Arhabi expressed the country's satisfaction of the growing
development of mutual cooperation ties between Yemen and Gulf.

Al-Uwaishiqi briefed al-Arhabi on outcomes of the seventh meeting of
the Yemeni-Gulf technical committee. Then, al-Arhabi urged the
technical committee's members to exert more efforts to implement
these outcomes.

The meeting also reviewed a number of issues concerning the
qualitative developments the Yemeni-Gulf relations witness.
