Hu Jintao calls for closer cooperation among SCO member states.

TASHKENT, June 11 (Itar-Tass) -- Chinese President Hu Jintao on Friday called for closer cooperation among the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries in such areas as security, economics and politics,

and expressed the hope for the soonest stabilization in Kyrgyzstan.
"We hope for the soonest stabilization in Kyrgyzstan and are
interested in it," the Chinese president told a SCO summit meeting.
He urged to "develop the SCO political groundwork, to promptly agree
positions on the most acute problems." Among joint anti-terror measures he
listed cooperation between the SCO border services and cooperation in the
area of transport security.
The Chinese president also called for closer humanitarian cooperation
and proposed to hold a meeting of SCO health ministers to discuss measures
to prevent epidemics.
Apart from this, he said his country was ready to offer assistance to
all those who were willing to study the Chinese language.
