Prof.William Baker: WCD will have a positive outcome for religious harmony
Madrid, July 16, SPA -- William Baker, President of CAMP (Christians
and Muslims for Peace) in the United States, said Wednesday the World
Conference on Dialogue is one of the most important conferences held
in this respect.
With a noble Call to convene the conference in Madrid, the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has been sending
a clear message to those who spread biased propaganda against Islam
and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Baker said.
He deplored the biased propaganda against Islam and Muslims and said
the conference will draw the attention to the importance of dialogue;
adding that the conference is qualified to come out with a positive
outcome.
He expected that the conference will shed light on the common
factors among the heavenly religions as regards morals, family and
environment.
On his part, Fadi Dawo, the director of the program of the
Christian- Islamic dialogue at the Council of the Middle East
Churches, said the conference which will be attended by
representatives of all heavenly religions, cultures and
civilizations, will provide a good opportunity to discuss means of
promoting peace coexistence around the world.
He voiced optimism over the constructive outcome of the conference.
