'Al-Ahram' Chief praises Saudi King's call for World Conference

Cairo, July 16, SPA -- Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahram newspaper Osama
Saraya has lauded the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to convene a World Conference on
Dialogue.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said the conference,
starting its three-day deliberations under the patronage of King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in Madrid later today, will provide a good
opportunity to project bright features of Islam and Muslim nations.

Saraya underlined the importance of exerting efforts to correct the
wrong concepts about Islam which is being defamed by acts of
extremists.
