Secretary General of NPC: Yemen population will be 43 million in 2035
HUDEIDA, July 15 (Saba)- Secretary General of National Population
Council(NPC) Ali Burji stated that the level of population growth in Yemen still ranking the highest in the world, clarifying that indicators say that Yemen's population would reach 43 million during 2035, which means more poverty and development problems.
In the ceremony held on Tuesday here on the occasion of World Population Day, Burji referred reasons of the increased population
growth level to Yemeni community's grasping of proliferation norms, a matter that makes country unable to afford growth results.
He considered family planning one of the greatest important means for
facing population growth.
