Talks cannot be in tandem with resolutions: Iran's President
Istanbul, Turkey, June 8, IRNA – Visiting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that the US cannot think of adopting anti-Iran resolutions while simultaneously trying to hold talks with the country.
“If cooperation is to be expected, it should be made in all fields. The US and its allies are mistaken if they think they can adopt resolutions against Iran on one hand, and try to conduct talks with the country on the other,” said the President at a press conference here which was also being broadcast live by the CNN.
“Anyone who thinks of talking to Iran in a language of force, is already clear what would be the response to such a language,” he stressed.
President Ahmadinejad is in Turkey to attend the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)./end
