Consultative meeting on enabling women in local development held
SANA'A, July 16 (Saba)-Organized by woman sector in Local Administration Ministry, a consultative meeting on enabling womanleaders in local development held on Tuesday.
Deputy Minister of Local Administration Ja'afar Hamed opened the meeting with a speech on political and democratic mechanism Yemeni area has witnessed. He said that Yemeni woman has great portion of participation in all fields as prime partner in community building and got high leading posts in the country's administrativeapparatus.
He noted that creating a sector for the woman in the ministry comes in the framework of taking care of her to be in charge of suggesting and drawing strategies for boosting local authority system, stressing on the importance of coming out with unified view todevelopment programs and projects.
