ANAMA DESTROYS ABOUT OVER 2 THOUSAND UXOS AND MINES IN MAY
Baku, June 5 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,358,191 sq. meters area of land from 2,633,191 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) in May. Ten tank and six personnel mines were found.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 6 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 133,181,018 sq.m. of land, destroying 613,705 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried demining operations in Tartar, Agdam, Barda, Agstafa, Fizuli, Gadabay, city of Ganja and Garadag district of Baku.
