CULTUROLOGISTS` 2ND FORUM HELD IN BAKU

Baku, June 4 (AzerTAc). The second National Forum of culturologists held Thursday in Azerbaijan`s capital.
The event, themed “Cultural diversity as a socio-political value”, has been organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The purpose of the event was to ensure popularization of Azerbaijan`s culture.
Participants included scholars from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Addressing the event, deputy culture and tourism minister Sevda Mammadaliyeva spoke of President Ilham Aliyev`s care and attention to the development of culture in Azerbaijan.
She also touched upon the measures taken at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s President Mehriban Aliyeva to develop the culture of Azerbaijan.
Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of ANAS Ilham Mammadzade told of the care for development of science in the country. He also stressed the necessity of culturology`s relations with other public sciences.
Pro-rector of Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts Konstantin Ramishevski underscored the necessity of deepening ties between the culturologists of Azerbaijan and Belarus.
Head of the “Simurg” Association of Culture of Azerbaijan Fuad Mammadov said the foundations of culturology in Azerbaijan were created by his organization.
The forum participants also heard relevant presentations.
