WORKING GROUP OF SOCAR AND PARTNER COMPANIES IN TURKEY FOR GAS TALKS
Baku, June 3 (AzerTAc). A working group consisting of representatives of Azerbaijan`s State Oil Company (SOCAR) and partner companies started talks over sale and purchase of natural gas in Turkey, said SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev.
Abdullayev said together with Bp-Azerbaijan president Rashid Javanshir he would join the talks.
“SOCAR`s biggest investment project in Turkey is Petkim petrochemical complex. Documentation concerning construction of SOCAR`s oil refinery factory in Petkim`s territory was completed.”
“Now we are awaiting the Turkish government`s license. We are planning to start the construction of the factory next year. The factory is expected to produce 10 mln tons of oil, four mln of which will be used as raw material and the rest will be sold in European and Turkish markets,” Abdullayev stated.
