Centre in a hurry to push N-Deal to cover up failure: Naidu
Hyderabad, July 15 (PTI) Senior B.J.P. leader M.Venkaiah Naidu alleged Monday that the U.P.A. government, in an effort to to cover up its failure, was hurrying with the Indo-USnuclear deal which was "against the interest of the nation".
"Without a comprehensive deliberation on the issue and without taking the Left and Opposition B.J.P. into confidence, the Congress-led U.P.A. government is hurrying the deal tocover up its failures in all fronts," Naidu said here.
"It shows the U.P.A. government's immature way of handling situations like external affairs," the B.J.P. leadercharged.
Instead of dealing with alarming situation of inflation which is likely to touch 17 per cent, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was more concerned for his prestige and trying to pushforward the Indo-U.S. nuclear deal, he alleged.
Terming the deal as against the interest of the people, Naidu said: "Even the scientist community is divided on the issue and let us not surrender our country's sovereignty for the deal." PTI RAO
