SPEAKER AND INDIAN AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Speaker D.Demberel has met with the Ambassador of India to Mongolia Mr. Satbir Singh.
Having noted that the ties between the parliaments of the two countries have played "an important role in Mongolia-India relationship", the Speaker expressed a hope that Mr Ambassador "will be making all efforts to strengthen them".
Mr Singh thanked the Speaker for the audience and said,"I am satisfied with the expansion of Mongolia-India parliamentary ties. Heading to Mongolia from Moscow, where I was appointed the Ambaasador to Your country, I was full of intention to widen the traditional parliamentary relations."
Mr. Singh said that an official visit to Mongolia this June is expected of Mrs Meira Kumar, the Speaker of Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament of India) and expressed a hope that Mr. Demberel will pay India a visit in December this year.
The Speaker asked Mr Singh to tell the Indian side that "Mongolia is ready to welcome Mrs Kumar" and added that intends to arrange his visit to India according to the schedule agreed.
"I have no doubt that during Your office term the relations between our countries will fruifully deepen in all spheres," he said.
He mentioned that some Indian companies have put requests to collaborate with Mongolia through investing the mineral deposits especially the Tavan tolgoi, and that negotiations have been running at governmental level on cooperating in the uranium and nuclear energy sectors. "The Mongolian side always appreciates India for realizing many projects on involving the Mongolian youth, students and state servants in electronic hi tech studies in India," he underlined and expressed a hope that this action will expand in future.
