Gorno-Altai customs office on RF-Kazakhstan border opens "hot line".

GORNO-ALTAISK, June 1 (Itar-Tass) - The Gorno-Altai Customs Office has opened a "hot-line" in connection with the emergence of a common custom space of Russia and Kazakhstan on July 1, the office's press service told reporters on Tuesday.

The Customs Code will come into force on July 1 to regulate bilateral
custom relations. The "hot-line" specialists will explain economic enties
involved in foreign trade activities the details of customs formalities
and rules effective within the Customs Union of Russia and Kazakhstan.
Hot line telephones at the Gorno-Altai Customs Office will operate
till September 1 on weekdays from 9.00 till 16.00 local time, which is
three hours ahead of Moscow time.
The Altai Republic's border with the Eastern Kazakhstan region is 500
kilometers long.
About 100,000 ethnic Kazakhs resident in the Bayan-Ulgii Aimag of
Mongolia, actively trade with Kazakhstan via the territory of the Republic
of Altai.
