Indonesia's parliament delegation pays tribute to late Imam

Shahr-e Rey, Tehran, June 1, IRNA – A parliamentary delegation from Indonesia paid tribute to the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini, on Tuesday.

Attending the late Imam’s mausoleum in southern Tehran, the Indonesian delegation laid a wreath at the tomb of the father of the Islamic Revolution.

Each of the parliamentary delegation members left a note in Imam Khomeini’s memorial book as well.

The Indonesian members of parliament have been visiting Iran since three days ago.

They have had meetings with Iranian Presdident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani.

Indonesia’s parliamentary delegation led by the country’s Parliament Speaker, Marzuki Ali, is due to take part in the troika meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) which will be held in Tehran later in the day in the presence of the Iranian and Syrian parliament speakers along with Marzuki Ali./end
