Attack on peace flotilla proves Zionists terrorist nature

Tehran, June 1, IRNA – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili said Monday evening that the recent Israeli attack on the peace flotilla carrying aid for the people in the Gaza Strip proved the terrorist nature of that regime.
He made the remarks during a telephone conversation with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Muhammad al-Thani.
Such a move by the Tel Aviv regime is an indication to the weakness of that occupying regime, he added.
Underlining the need for coordination among regional and Islamic states aimed at making effective, vast and continuous efforts to counter the Zionist regime, Jalili stressed that Israel should pay the price for its hostile action.
He urged the Zionist regime to end the siege of the oppressed people in the Gaza Strip.
For his part, the Qatari official called for practical measures against the Tel Aviv regime.
He expressed hope that he could visit Tehran in the coming days in order to consult with Iranian officials on avenues to end the Gaza blockade.
According to media reports, early Monday morning in international waters, Israeli forces intercepted and took control of the six-ship aid convoy, which was carrying 10,000 tons of foodstuff and medicine as well as hundreds of activists from several countries. At least 20 people were killed in the serious violence on one or more of the vessels./end
