AZERI FM MEETS US DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF DEFENSE
Baku, May 31 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has met US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Celeste Wallander.
Wallander said the United State praised Azerbaijan`s contribution to international anti-terrorist operations, in particular the country`s efforts towards ensuring peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Mammadyarov hailed the fact “Azerbaijan and the United States enjoy close and all-round relations”.
He emphasized Azerbaijan`s contribution to ensuring Afghanistan`s security, adding “we also assist the country in developing its humanitarian and educational fields”.
