SECOND SUMMIT OF MEMBER STATES OF “EASTERN PARTNERSHIP” PROGRAM DUE IN BUDAPEST

Baku, May 31 (AzerTAc). The 2nd summit of the member states of the “Eastern Partnership” program will take place in Budapest, on May 19, 2011, plenipotentiary of the Polish Foreign Affairs Ministry for EP Andzheu Tseshkovski told journalists.
Mr. Tseshkovski praised the Eastern Partnership Foreign Ministers Informal Meeting held on 24 May 2010 in Polish city of Sopot. He said the issues on implementation of the large-scale projects and creation of a Group of Friends within the “Eastern Partnership” program were discussed at the event.
The Eastern Partnership (EP) is the first comprehensive initiative introduced into the system of the European Union`s external relations, addressed to Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Armenia. The Eastern Partnership is designed to help the countries of Eastern Europe and South Caucasus with their approximation to and integration with the European Union.
