Iran supports Gaza bound Freedom Flotilla aid convoy – Mehmanparast

Tehran, May 31, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Sunday that Tehran announces all-out support for the anti-siege activists -- the so-called Freedom Flotilla—who are ferrying aid to the blockaded Gaza Strip.
“In line with its policy of defending the oppressed Palestinian nation, of the lift of the tyrannical siege of Gaza and of full liberation of Palestinian territory, Tehran voices its all-out support and backing for efforts of a group of pro-Palestinian activists – the so-called "Gaza Freedom Flotilla", -- to break the Gaza sea blockade,” said Mehmanparast on Sunday.
He commented on the Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation’s (IHH) bid in sending nine ships, carrying 1,000 pro-Palestinian international activists along with 20 million euros cash and kind aid for those besieged in Gaza, and said that’s the biggest aid convoy observed throughout history.
Condemning Zionists’ efforts to prevent Palestinians’ access to the aid, Mehmanparast said that the Zionists’ attempt would be an affront to international principles and human rights, thus being unforgivable./end
