Iran FM in Japan on short visit
Tokyo, May 31, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki arrived here on Sunday afternoon on a short visit to Japan.
Upon arrival, Mottaki was welcomed by Iran’s Ambassador to Japan Abbas Araqchi and Director General of the Asian Affairs at the Japanese Foreign Ministry Toshiro Suzuki.
During his 24-hour stay in Tokyo, Mottaki is due to meet and confer with his Japanese counterpart Katsuya Okada on issues of mutual interest.
Both foreign ministers are also due to hold talks on the latest developments in Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as well as the recent trilateral, Iran-Turkey-Brazil, nuclear agreement on the issue.
Mottaki is also planned to address a gathering in Japan attended by researchers, peace activists and other personalities./end
