New Iranian envoy arrives in China
Beijing, May 30, IRNA – Iran’s new Ambassador to China Mehdi Safari arrived in China on Sunday.
Safari, 55 years old, is a career diplomat in Foreign Ministry and had already represented Iran in the Caspian Sea Talks, Austria, and Russia. He has also been Deputy Foreign Minister in Asia and Europe Affairs.
He substitutes Javad Mansouri, former ambassador, whose tenure ended last October.
There is an increasing trend in Iran-China bilateral ties, especially in economic affairs, in recent years./end
