13 Somali pirates as boat with 9-member crew released off Yemen
MAHRA, May 29 (Saba)
- 13 Somali pirates were captured when Yemeni naval forces in association with
international
anti-piracy troops in the Arabian Sea released a Yemeni fishing boat with a crew of
9 members onboard. Weapons including machine guns and RPGs were seized with the
pirates
who were seized off Mahra province. The boat was hijacked days ago by Somali pirates
off Socotra en route to Mukalla. Commander of the Navy and Coastal Defense Abdullah
Mujawar
said the released sailors were unhurt and the pirates turned over to the authorities
