PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO RECEIVES PALESTINIAN PM
Jakarta, July 14 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad at Merdeka Palace here on Monday morning.
The Palestinian prime minister arrived at the palace at 10 a.m. and was received by President Yudhoyono in the company of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Widodo AS, Foreign Affairs Minister Hassan Wirayuda, and Minister/State Secretary Hatta Radjasa.
Salam Fayyad's visit to Indonesia was in relation with the Ministerial Conference on Capacity Building for Palestine being organized on July 14 and 15, 2008, under the New Asian-African Strategic Partnership framework.
In the meeting with President Yudhoyono, Salam Fayyad was accompanied by Palestinian Development Planning Minister Samir Ali, Justice Minister Ali Khashan, and Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Fariz Mehdawi.
